Repair of the Río Verde viaduct by hydrodemolition

Conjet has participated in the repair of the Rio Verde viaduct in Italy, one of the highest and busiest in Europe. Conjet hydrodemolition rigs have been used to remove poor concrete from the surface of the piers, which rise 136 meters from the valley floor.

In order to carry out this repair it has been necessary to develop and build a special hydro-demolition team mounted on a waning platform to adjust to the variable thickness of the pillars.

Conjet's technical team modified the arm of a standard robot to allow it to work from the mobile platform, sliding along guide rails, and directed by a computerized control unit.
