CONJET: Hydrodemolition equipment

CONJET Presentation: Hydrodemolition Equipment

CONJET designs, manufactures and markets robotic hydro-demolition systems to repair concrete.

Hydrodemolition is a revolutionary technology that consists of the use of high-pressure water to remove concrete in poor condition; the water penetrates through the pores of the concrete and generates an internal pressure that causes it to break.

It does not affect concrete that is not damaged and does not break or crack the reinforcement inside the structure.

In addition, it does not generate dust, emits a low noise level and is safer for the operator.

Hydrodemolition has been developed to repair concrete structures such as bridges, dikes and docks, dams and hydroelectric power plants, tunnels, car parks,... These structures are thus prepared for subsequent repair and conditioning.

Conjet robots consist of a chassis in which both the hydraulic part and the electronic control system are integrated, and which is mounted on a track system or wheels for transport. They also have complex arm systems to be able to reach almost any structure that must be repaired.

The most widely used industrial material in the world is concrete. This is a durable material (structures made of concrete can last more than 100 years), but certain factors contribute to its degradation. For this reason, we need to repair or restructure the structures made with this material, in order to maintain or extend its life.
